This privacy policy applies to the TCICS Events booking platform operated by the Tri-City Iranian Cultural Society (TCICS), located at Unit 241-3020 Lincoln Ave., Coquitlam, BC V3B 6B4, Canada. Our booking platform is hosted at tcicsbooking.com.

What information we collect

When you book a vendor booth through our platform, we collect the following information:

• First and last name
• Business name and type
• Email address
• Phone number
• Booth selection and payment details (processed by PayPal)

We do not collect credit card numbers or banking information directly. All payment processing is handled by PayPal. Please refer to PayPal's privacy policy for how they handle your payment data.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide exclusively to:

• Process and confirm your booth booking
• Send you a payment receipt via email
• Contact you regarding your booking or the event
• Manage booth assignments at our events

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store your information

Your booking information is stored securely in our database hosted by Supabase (supabase.com), which uses industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Access to your data is restricted to authorized TCICS staff only.

We retain your booking information for a period of 3 years following the event for accounting and legal compliance purposes, after which it is deleted.

Your rights under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the following rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA):

• Access — you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — you may request that inaccurate information be corrected
• Withdrawal of consent — you may withdraw consent for us to use your data, subject to legal and contractual restrictions
• Complaint — you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

Cookies and tracking

Our booking platform does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking. We use browser localStorage to temporarily store your booking details during the checkout process. This data is cleared once your booking is confirmed.

Our platform uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — secure database hosting (supabase.com)
• Mailgun — transactional email delivery for receipts (mailgun.com)
• Google Fonts — typography (fonts.google.com)
